Mitch Stein

BC-HIS, Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences, Lic. #262

Born in Philadelphia, Mitchell “Mitch” Stein moved to Maryland at the age of 9 when his father purchased a hearing aid center in Annapolis. Mitch grew up in the hearing aid world. He began his hearing aid career at the tender age of 12, when he would go to work with his father on Saturdays and man the front counter selling supplies. He learned to clean hearing aids at 13, and at 16, his dad would let him sit in while he tested. It was at that point he knew this was the industry he wanted to be in!

With both Mitch’s father and grandmother being hearing impaired, he saw firsthand how hearing loss can result in isolation and how it impacts not just the individual, but their family and friends as well. He also experienced how hearing aids can improve people’s quality of life for the better.

Mitch is licensed by the state of Massachusetts as a Hearing Instrument Specialist, and is also Nationally Board Certified by the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences.

Mitch is passionate about improving the lives of the hearing impaired. Being hearing impaired himself, Mitchell enjoys educating his customers on how technology can help improve the quality of their lives, and often relates stories of his personal experience with the challenges of living with hearing loss.

In his free time, Mitch is an avid bowler, and often recounts how the newest hearing instrument technology has helped him better understand speech in what is an extremely noisy environment.
Mitch also loves music, and being an audiophile marvels at how amazing the latest hearing aid technology makes music sound both through speakers, as well as streaming from smartphones.
