Brianna Robinson
Brianna Robinson is our Clinton, North Carolina recipient for the Campaign for Better Hearing Give Back Program. Brianna is a bright and positive 18-year-old high school senior. When she first experienced the Oticon More™ 1s, she broke into tears and told her mom: “I can hear!”
Unfortunately, Brianna had to leave without the aids that day, due to insurance not covering the purchase. We decided to present her with complimentary hearing aids as part of the Campaign for Better Hearing Give Back Program. As a student, daily life is difficult for Brianna, as is her home life. While she learns in a regular classroom setting, she struggles due to her hearing loss. At home, she is one of a family of six children, alongside her twin. As Brianna jokingly puts it, the only advantage she has with hearing loss is that she “gets away with things,” as her siblings often assume she just didn’t hear them.
With her new hearing aids, Brianna can experience the gift of hearing both in the classroom and at home.
