Meet Sheena Hoch
Sheena Hoch, of York, PA, is our new Campaign for Better Hearing Give Back Program recipient. Sheena has had hearing loss since childhood; but unfortunately never received treatment, and thus has never had the chance to fully hear. Her profound hearing loss has affected her ability to receive proper education, as well as find employment. Sheena is a victim of long-term abuse, as well as a recovering addict. HearingLife staff wished to provide her with a helping hand after a difficult life.
Family recently has taken Sheena in, allowing her to leave her homeless shelter. She is taking a step towards her education by signing up for college classes, starting first online and then transitioning to in-person after receiving her new hearing aids. Sheena is hopeful for her future, and her family has been by her side for every step of the hearing aid process.
