Martha’s strength and love for her children moved her to the United States with her children after suffering years of abuse in Nicaragua. As a single mother, she supported her family by working as a nanny, raising and caring for many children over the years. As she got older, she began to experience hearing loss, causing her difficulty understanding the voices of the children she has loved and supported for years, including her own. Martha’s desire to stay connected to her loved ones led her to saving up and purchasing a hearing device she saw advertised on television, which caused her ears to bleed, leaving her without improved hearing and an even worse financial situation. Hearing better would do wonders for Martha’s life. Her love and dedication to the children she’s raised has shaped her life, even describing the children as “a plant sprout growing into a beautiful rose.” Martha is excited to hear her loved ones once again with her free hearing aids, gifted by the Campaign for Better Hearing.
Congratulations, Martha!
