Nothing feels better than being able to help people hear well. That's why the Campaign is pleased to announce our latest recipients of free hearing aids from across the United States. We hope you'll read and enjoy their inspiring stories on their journey to better hearing.
This Month's Featured Recipient
Gloria Disert
Sayville, NY
Gloria Disert is our newest Campaign for Better Hearing Give Back recipient. She is a caregiver for her adult child with special needs and dedicates most of her time to him. When her son is with his aide, she has a break and can run errands; however, she does not have a vehicle and relies on others to drive her. When asked what she does for fun, she stated, “My son is my life, so whatever he likes to do.” Gloria never puts herself first, so the gift of hearing would be a life-changing blessing.
With her new hearing aids, Gloria is looking forward to hearing her son better, as well as her family during gatherings. She says she always looks forward to her many nieces and nephews coming over, but she hopes her hearing aids will make it even more enjoyable.
